Conservation Issues

Conservation issues include, forest fires, pollution, habitat destruction, poaching and animal diseases. When habitat destruction occurs at a fast pace, it gives animals little or no time to react and adjust to the changing circumstances around them. This can create disastrous results, and for this reason, rapid habitat loss is the primary cause of species endangerment. The strongest forces in rapid habitat loss are human beings. Nearly every region of the earth has been affected by human activity, particularly during this past century.

Disease, pollution, and limited distribution are more factors that threaten various plant and animal species. If a species does not have the natural genetic protection against particular pathogens, an introduced disease can have severe effects on that species.

Forest fires are a powerful phenomenon. It burns down almost all vegetation leaving the land dry and bare. They kill all habitats of animals; trees, grass, any kind of living plant. Nutrient recycling then has to take place to restore plant and make new plant for the forest floor.
