Lincolns Monument The memorial consists of a full-length bronze figure of Lincoln as a 23-year-old captain during the Black Hawk War. A plaque located behind the work carries a description of Lincoln’s Black Hawk War service as well as the names of individuals involved in creation of the memorial. He wears a sword and belt and carries his coat over one arm. The rear of the granite base bears an inscription commemorating the city’s founder, John Dixon.
The statue was dedicated on September 24, 1930 and was sculpted by Leonard Crunelle.
The Lincoln Monument is located at President’s Park in Lee County.

Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site is open daily from 9 A.M. to 4P.M. It is closed on major holidays. Groups of 25 or more must have a reservation. The interior of the Tomb and the restrooms are handicapped accessible. Vietnam Veterans Memorial The Illinois Vietnam Veterans Memorial is located one-half mile west of the Lincoln Tomb. Inscribed in the memorial are the names of 2,973 Illinois servicemen who died or are still missing in the Vietnam War. The memorial may be visited during Oak Ridge Cemetery's daily hours of 7 A.M. to 6 P.M. January through April and October through December. Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site is open daily from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. The site is closed on major holidays. Limited handicapped access. Special events are held throughout the year, and pre-arranged tours are available to school and other groups upon request. Picnic areas, playgrounds, and restrooms are available. The picnic shelter is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups of 25 or more must obtain advanced permission to enter the site and be supervised by at least one responsible adult for every 15 minors. All pets must be leashed. Address:
