Course Description:
This course presents an introduction to the techniques and algorithms of digital image processing. Class lectures will closely track outline of the the course textbook. Lectures will follow the textbook closely.
Grading: Term poject 40%, HWs worth 25%, two tests worth 15% each, class participation and attendance is worth 5%.
HWs: Three HWs on (a) enhancement, (b) segmentation, and (c)
interpretation will be assigned to divide your project into three phases. Each
HW requires a 2000 word report and a brief in-class presentation. Use APA
report style, see Plonsky's online APA guide.
Project: Acceptables projects that
are selected by students will be discussed in class. Generally, term project
