Course Description:

Concepts of mobile and wireless systems are presented. These concepts include, but are not limited to, Routing and Medium Access for Mobile Ad hoc and Wireless Sensor Networks, Mobile IP, Wireless LAN and IEEE 802.11. A term project is an integral component of this course.

Administration: 9 in class closed book quizes (one per chapter at 3 points) 27/100, six team home works (5 points each) 30/100, 3 in-class team topic presentation and discussion leads (one point each), and two team projects (20 points each to be announced in class) 40/100.

Pre-requisites:

CS 330 with a grade of C or better or graduate standing. Seek permission of instructor if you need clarifications. Please Be aware that this is a programming intensive and a hands on course, requiring nontrivial programming skills.

Graduate and undergraduate students are welcome.

Objectives:

You are expected to know or learn programming language on your own.

Class participation and attendance will help determine borderline grades.
