Course Description:

This course presents an introduction to switching algebra and its applications. Combinational logic and combinational
circuit components. Sequential logic and sequential circuit components. Asynchronous sequential circuits.

Grading: There will be three tests worth 25% each. The Lowest of the three test grades will be dropped. Homeworks are worth 40%. Attendance and participation is worth 10%.
Grading Scale: A = 90-100, B = 80-89, C = 70-79, D = 60-69, F < 60.

HWs will be due one week after corresponding lecture is complete. HW statement for each chapter is included on the lecture slides from that chapter.

Missing Exam policy: If you must miss a test, you must let me know before the exam. You may call me, send me E-mail, or come by my office to inform me. If the excuse is reasonable, I will replace your exam score with your final exam percentage.

Pre-requisites:

CS202 and CS215 each with a grade of C or better.

Policy on Class ethiquette : Personal laptops and cell phones are not permitted in class. On the due date, your assignment must be turned in before I begin my lecture, unless I have formally issued an extension.
