Dr. Dunren Che is currently an Associate Professor at the Dept. of Computer Science, Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in December 1994. Afterwards, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in several well-known research institutes, including Tsinghua University China, German National Research Center for Information Technology, and Johns Hopkins University Baltimore. His research interests include Database, Data Mining, Bioinformatics, and Semantic Web. His recent research has been focused on XML Database, especially XML Query Processing and Optimization. He has published about 70 conference and journal papers.
