History of Licheo

dragon statue

A group of Vikings discovered Licheo but because it was discovered so long ago that the date has not been recorded down history.  The Vikings left their home country because they were not in agreement with the royal family and how they were treating the common people.  They went out in searched for a new land and wanted to start their own country.  The Vikings ended up crashing next to Iceland and decided to stay and settle there.  When they landed the Vikings were unsure of the land and if there were any other inhabitants.  So a group of Vikings went out and searched the land to see what this land offered them.  While searching the Vikings came across a creature that they had never seen before. This creature could fly and breathed fire.  They decided to call this creature a dragon.  As time went on the dragon protected the Vikings and their families from harm. The dragon was so important to them they decided to put the dragon on their counrty's flag and design a statue in memory of the dragon.

Today if you visit Licheo you can still find little dragons in the mountains and if you are ever in danger don’t be surprised if you a dragon helps you out.
