Brian McLaughlan's CS404 Mobile Robotics Project:

Command and Control of Very Large Systems of Intelligent Agents

This webpage contains information regarding the CS404 Mobile Robotics project.  I've chosen Option C (Do something different) and have taken a piece of my PhD dissertation as my project.

Some screenshots of the current state of my simulation will follow.  For now, here is a Powerpoint presentation with an overview of my current work.  There currently aren't any pictures there either, but I'm working on it.

Project Status:

March 21, 2008:  During a planning meeting, I got some new ideas for metrics.  I'm going to look at how many times the user must make changes to the system to get it to a desired level of performance.  Although that metric was already planned, the method for determining performance was brainstormed and a couple of options were determined.  I'll look at which option is best and implement it.

March 10, 2008:  Simulation is up and running, but there's too much information to process large numbers of agents.  Recent brainstorming session suggested using some sort of weather map-like color spread to show influence of agents on other agents.  I've added some code to do that, but its pretty crude.
