Mobile Autonomous Robots - Course Project!

Welcome to my project website! While initially simple this site should develop into something of a journal/progress report on my Mobile Autonomous Robots course project. This project is for Dr. Henry Hexmoor's CS 404 course taught in spring 2008 at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The gist of the project (at least with respect to the path I've chosen) is to modify a preexisting Robosim program to introduce and evaluate an idea involving HRI(human robot interaction) and one or more other theories in mobile robotics. The ultimate goal is to introduce autonomy to the program and allow a human to interact with it, with the ultimate result being a metric to measure the interaction. Below I will include a progress update and any relevant news I can come up with as time passes Oh yes, this is Adam Busenbark typing.

3/17/08: Before getting to the news and updates section, it would be best to create and introduce two other sections. These sections are the theory page and the results/demonstration page. The theory page will include my current ideas about the project such as where its headed, which idea I want to test, and the progress of my metric as time passes. The results page will include screen-shots of significant changes or progress, or lack thereof in any case.

3/17/08: First news post. Not much to report, currently working on fleshing out the basics for the theory and results pages. As I get more work done on the project generic updates will go here, while more technical or specific thoughts will be directed to those other two pages.
