    • Double click on 'Printing'
      • Choose the printer(s) that you want to print on

    Linux

  • To print 2 pages on one side of a sheet
  • Under Linux, to convert Text/ASCII files to PostScript with two pages printed on one piece of paper, use the a2ps command.

    Example: a2ps -Pwps < name of text file >

    Troubleshooting

    If you want to stop the current printing, you need to cancel the printing job in the Windows or Linux print queue first. [See above for reference.] Then, press the "Online" button, wait for 3-5 minutes for the "Online" light to go off, then press the Shift+Reset buttons to clean the print queue inside the printer. Note: Do NOT attempt to stop current printing by turning the printer off. This will cause a paper jam.

    Some Important Rules

  • Do not use the printer as a copier to make multiple printouts. Toner is a very costly resource;
  • Do not re-use paper. Instead, use new, regualar printing paper only. Used paper often causes jams and will eventually damage the printer;
  • Use printers for your CS TA/RA/GA or CS course-related printing only;
  • If the toner is low, please report to the CS main office (Faner 2125).
