About the NGRP

Founded in 2010 by a group of environmentally conscious High School students, the National Group for Recycled Products (NGRP) is a group established by students eager to help improve the environment as well as make more efficient the means by which we produce new goods and technology. In the past few months, we have taken great strides in order to raise community awareness of the necessity to recycle.

According to recyclingfacts.org, the average American household throws away over four pounds of waste every day. This adds up over time, leading to one household disposing of over 1,700 pounds of waste in one year. Now think about that on a nationwide scale and our country alone is throwing away 264,979,456.35 tons of waste in a single year. This waste doesn't just disappear though, it piles up on top of the waste of year's past, polluting our atmosphere and adding to already overflowing landfills.

But it doesn't have to be this way. By taking mere minutes out of your day, you can recycle and at the same time contribute to a greater cause that is helping our environment.
